 About The Artists
Growing up on the shores of the west coast, Jennifer and Rafe Maldonado’s love of
the sea has become the main inspiration in their artwork. Each piece is handcrafted by them and is unique and one-of-a-kind.
Their business name (Kismet’s Creations) comes from the name of their boat/home of 6 years where they first began to
make their jewelry. Jennifer & Rafe are now at home on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.
 About The Materials
All pendants are made with Fine Silver (.999) and findings are Sterling
Silver (.925) or higher. They use a variety of gems and stones to accent their pieces including: Freshwater Pearls,
Abalone, Apatite and Swarovski Crystals. Kismet’s Creations also offers a variety of items in 24k Gold Plate.
This is done by electroplating thick layers of solid gold onto the silver pieces.
Protection of the worlds oceans is
a major priority for Kismet’s Creations - all shell & pearls come from sustainable farms and silver
is recycled from photo & print industries.
 Environmental Commitment
Members of One Percent For The Planet, Kismet’s Creations donates a minimum 1% of
their gross sales to various ocean charities. 2007 Donations were made to: The Coral Foundation, Earth Island Institute, Turtle Island Restoration Network & The Ocean Conservancy.
